Hi, I’m Muhammad Asif Khan, co founder and developer of CY Calculator. I have more than three years of experience as a full stack developer, and I build every calculator you use on this site.

I work on CY Calculator because ordering material should not come down to guesswork. Feet, inches and cubic yards are easy to mix up when you are standing in a yard with a tape measure, and one small slip can mean a second delivery or a pile of leftover gravel. My goal is a calculator that gets the number right the first time and shows you how it got there.

As developer, I hold every tool to the same standard: the answer has to be right, and the working has to be visible. Each result comes with a short breakdown you can check yourself, and every formula is tested before an update goes live. I also write the guides on the math itself, from unit conversions to coverage, weight and bag counts, so the reasoning behind each number is easy to follow.

For me, a good calculator is one you barely notice. It should open quickly on a phone, be easy to read outdoors and give you an answer you can take straight to your supplier. I keep refining the tools with that in mind and add new ones as readers ask for them.
