This policy explains what information CY Calculator (“we”, “us”) collects when you use this website, how it is used, and the choices you have.

Calculator inputs

The numbers you enter into our calculators, including the cubic yard calculator, are processed only in your browser. They are not sent to our servers, saved, or linked to you. We do not offer accounts or collect names, emails or other personal details through the calculators. If you use Share, your measurements are written into the link after the # sign; browsers do not send that part of a link to any server, but anyone you send the link to can see the numbers.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider (Google Firebase Hosting) and content delivery network (Cloudflare) may automatically record technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages requested and the date and time of the request. This is used to deliver the site, keep it secure and diagnose problems.

Cookies and advertising

At the moment this site shows no ads and sets no cookies. We may use Google AdSense to show ads; if we do, third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites.

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and measure how quickly pages load. It does not use cookies or local storage and does not track you across websites; it records details such as the page visited, the referring site, your browser type and your country. If we add any other analytics tool, we will describe it here and, where required, ask for your consent first.

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not knowingly keep personal information about calculator users. To make a request, contact us.

Children’s privacy

This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
