How a New Calculator Comes Together
Every tool on the site goes through the same four steps before it reaches you.
- It starts with a question. Most ideas come from readers telling us what they are trying to order. Arslan Ashraf weighs each request against what people search for and picks what to build next.
- The math comes first. Asif Khan writes the formula, converts every unit with fixed definitions and tests the results against worked examples before anything appears on screen.
- Then the guide. Whoever knows the topic best writes a guide with worked examples, and every number in it is checked against the calculator.
- Checked on a phone, then published. Many people open a calculator in the middle of a job, so each page is checked on small screens before it goes live. After that, your feedback keeps it accurate.
The result is the same for every tool, from the main cubic yard calculator to the concrete calculator: a clear answer with the working shown underneath.
